Today's recipe is very special for you, if you are keeping a check on your weight or want to shred some or just want to maintain a healthy healing sustainable food habits.

This recipe is miracle for health freaks, and apart from tremendous health benefits, it is also quick and simple to make, and can be pre-pep if you lead a busy scehdule.

Made with loads of seasonal vegs, mild indian spices and kodo millet as binding agent, you are assured without compromising on taste and health, you can easily achieve a good health even with a busy schedule on a day to day life!

Before we jump into recipe straight away, let's know a bit about Kodo Millet.

Kodo millet is domesticated in India some 3,000 years ago. The fiber content of the whole grain is very high, and the millet contains high amount of protein as well. This is another reason for me to add this recipe to my meal plan.

Kodo Millet is also beneficial for high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.

•Helps to hydrate colon and prevent constipation.

Controls blood sugar.

•Contains a high amount of lecithin which is excellent for strengthening the nervous system.

•Rich in photo chemicals, phytates- reduces cancer risk.

•Useful in the treatment of inflammation, hemorrhages and general debility.

Now when we know why one should consume, let's have a look to how to prepare:

👉 This recipe serves two people

👉 Total time of cooking (patty): 6 minutes 

INGREDIENTS :

• 1 Cup of - Cooked Kodo Millet (soaked for atleat 6 hours, and then cooked with salt to taste, for 20 minutes or untill millets are cooked and soften enough) 

• 2 tbsp - Roasted mix seeds (pumpkin, musk melon, sesame)

• 1 tsp - Roasted flax seed powder 

• 7-10 Curry leaves

• 1/2 cup - Grated beetroot

• 1/4 cup - Grated carrot

• 1/4 cup - Peas

• 1/2 cup - Grated cauliflower 

• 1 - Finely chopped green chilly 

• 1 tbsp - Finely chopped coriander 

• Salt - To taste

• 1 tsp each - Turmeric powder, roasted cumin powder

• 1/2 tsp - Black pepper powder 

• 3-4 tbsp oil 

HOW TO COOK:

• Heat pan without oil and add all vegs (except coriander) and roast them for a minute on low flame (keep stiring continuously), then add all spices and let it cook for another ten minutes or untill vegetables are cooked (you can add spalshes of water in between to avoid burning and also cover the pan and cook, keep stiring in between).

• In a seperate bowl take precooked Kodo Millet, add vegetables and spices mix, seeds, flax seed powder, chopped coriander and mix well.

• Make small balls and patty like shapes using your hands.

• Heat another pan and grease with 1 tbsp oil.

• Place patties in pan and let them cook for three minutes on one side then flip them, add another tbsp oil, and let them cook for another three minutes on other side.

• Serve hot with home made hummus or mint chutney.



This recipe can be enjoyed any time of the day, good for travelling or office lunch box, kids lunch boxes as wll,  as you can pre cook everything and keep ready to eat patty in your freezer, so your 6 minutes healthy filling recipe is ready for a rush day!
